a well known little girl whom had been selected to receive an award for National Maulidur Rasul Award and I am to say that she is my cousin. Ya Rabb had shown me another miracle of Him. SubhanAllah.

well, she is familiar among us as Kak Anis. being wheel-chaired for her entire life never stop her to achieve her dreams. May Allah will always bless you and your family Kak Anis.

PUTRAJAYA: She is an early riser. Waking up even before the sun rises is a norm for 16-year-old Khairunnisaq Khairuddin, who spends the early hours studying so that she can achieve her dream of becoming an orthopaedic surgeon.

All her hardwork did not go unnoticed after she was chosen as one of the national Maulidur Rasul Award recipients. She was presented the award by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah at the Maulidur Rasul national celebrations here yesterday.
Khairunnisaq, who received RM20,000 in cash, including trophies and certificates, is wheelchair-bound due to a neuromuscular genetic disease.
"Nobody with disability should feel small. We should not let it keep us away from our goals."
The prize, she said, would be used for her studies and healthcare.
Khairunnisaq was also awarded the Johor state Excellent Student Award for candidates with special needs for last year's Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) examination.
The seven other recipients who took home the Maulidur Rasul awards were Religious Adviser to the Sultan of Johor and Johor Islamic Council adviser Datuk Nooh Gadut; Malaysia Ihtimam Foundation deputy chairman Tan Sri Zaman Khan Rahim Khan; Muslim Women's Action Commission (Pertiwi) president Professor Emeritus Datuk Dr Nik Safiah Abdul Karim; Islamic Banking and Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM) Syariah adviser Mohd Bakir Mansor; Al Hijrah Media Corporation content development and research programme general manager Che Wan Alias Che Wan Abdullah; Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia nationhood and civilisation programme head Professor Madya Mohd Ridhuan Tee Abdullah, and Muslim Welfare Organisation Malaysia (Perkim) national council member Muhammad Fitri Abdullah.
Former mufti of Sarawak, Datuk Seri Anis Abot, took home the Anugerah Perdana Maulidur Rasul for his dedication and commitment in the development and administration of Islam in Sarawak.
